Public Engagement

We are firm believers in embracing local knowledge and empowering stakeholders throughout design and implementation processes. Our team develops highly customized engagement processes for each project, and have proven the value of meaningful involvement of local residents and project stakeholders. Ranging from traditional open houses to multi-day design charettes, EDS has proven the value of using local knowledge throughout any design and implementation process.

Community Park System Advisory CommitteeMorinville, AB

EDS coordinated series of workshops, charettes, and on-site working tours to develop the design of five parks spaces in the Town of Morinville. A group of approximately 14 local residents and stakeholders helped formulate the conceptual plans for these parks, and our team developed comprehensive cost analyses and phasing strategies for implementation. A final public open house allowed the steering committee and consulting team to demonstrate to the rest of the Town this grassroots-based approach to planning.
